My name is Priyanka Sharma. I am fortunate to be a part of Amarantos and am from the SPARK batch.

am a Legal Counsel by profession and lives in Bangalore, Karnataka.

In July last year, I lost my only brother to an unnatural death.

From that moment, life changed completely for me and my family. Watching my parents live with unbearable grief, their daily struggle for peace or closure, is one of the most painful experiences of my life.

As a daughter, I often felt helpless. As a sister, the loss left a permanent emptiness.

My sister and I didn’t just lose our brother, we lost a part of our childhood, our sense of safety and our emotional support

During this phase, I was desperately searching for something that could bring even a small sense of understanding, peace or healing. While searching online, I came across Amarantos and the PLRT program. Something about it felt different.

Looking back, it feels like a quiet answer to a silent prayer, a small ray of light in a very dark time of my life.

Even before the workshop began, the orientation material and assignments brought unexpected calmness to me. For the first time, I began to look at suffering from a broader perspective. I started understanding that pain is not always random and that some experiences may have roots deeper than this single lifetime.

Most importantly, it gave me a purpose, an understanding towards life and souls journey. The five-day workshop in Bangalore was truly transformative. It was not just about learning techniques or understanding PLRT, it was a deep inner journey, inner healing.

Venu sir and Neha ma’am treated all of us with immense patience, love, care and respect. Venu sir made even complex concepts simple and relatable. The sessions were never time bound, Sir focused on clarity, not completion. He answered our endless questions with the same enthusiasm and patience, ensured we understood each of the 15 stages through observation, practice and revision. Neha ma’am ensured we felt comfortable throughout the workshop emotionally and physically.

I understood my own fears, responses and inner resilience better. I reconnected with myself not just as a grieving sister, but as a human being with depth and strength.

Equally special were the people I met. My batchmates became like a small family. We listened without judgment, supported one another and learnt together. That bond is something I will always carry with gratitude

Today, I still miss my brother and my parents are still healing. But I am no longer standing only in darkness. PLRT has given me understanding, emotional tools and a renewed sense of direction. It has helped me transform pain into awareness, grief into compassion and helplessness into purpose.

You are truly strong… I never really understood the depth of your loss until just a few days ago when my twin video called us showing us terrible looking huge purple bruises on her upper right arm that looked like shoe footprints, rattling us to our soul thinking she got rough handled by someone and is refusing to give details so as to not worry us, while that still remains a mystery as to how exactly she got that (as she insists she has no idea how she got it) it instantly reminded me of you and your story, of how you said all you got was a cold phone call of his death, that too immediately after having just hung out with him happily, and as if that was not enough, it happened in a way no parent would ever want their childs death to happen.

That is when I was able to get merely an inkling of what you must have gone through, and it left me speechless, not even being able to imagine YOUR pain and your family’s… you still found the strength to smile… to stay strong, for your beloved brother, and I am so so so sooo happy and Greatful to God that he let you at least know of his wellbeing in his soul form… that’s the least you deserve after such pain… but of course that will never reduce your pain of knowing the way he was treated in his last moments… even as I write this I have tears in my eyes for you, but more than that I have newfound respect for you and your family, and hope you guys find the peace and healing you deserve as well, and have nothing but love filled days ahead
