Altered State of Consciousness Under General Anesthesia

Few years ago, Goutham was on an Operation Table for a surgery. The Anesthesist did the needful and he lost his consciousness with a chill like feeling in his heart area.

After the procedure was over, the OT staffs tried to awake him in the recovery room.

Goutham saw a fast ray of light moving in the darkness towards the Earth. The speed was phenomenal (almost like that of thought)…Just before approaching Earth, he had to take a conscious decision where to land!!!..Whether to land in Pataudi ( his Ex’s hometown) or Delhi (his hometown)…70 kilometres apart…He decided Delhi in split second and he was awake !!

(For your reference…Goutham shares multiple traumatic life times with his Ex and has been on multiple receiving ends too…)

OT staffs were relieved and told him they had been trying hard to bring him back .

In an altered sense of consciousness (under anesthesia)…What could this experience be ? His imagination or something more ? Suggestions are welcome.

When goutam has seen multiple traumatic life time with Ex then he might have seen his past life, even one of my client see some dream at night and those dreams become real weather it’s positive or negative,

That’s a really interesting you’re touching on two ideas that often come up in spiritual and psychological discussions: past-life experiences and precognitive (prophetic) dreams.

Let’s look at both possibilities as you mentioned

:herb: 1. Seeing “multiple lifetimes” or past-life visions

Many spiritual traditions (like Hinduism, Buddhism, or certain New Age paths) believe that a person’s soul carries memories from previous lives. Sometimes these memories are said to surface through:

Meditation or deep trance states

Strong emotional connections (like with an ex-partner or soul connection)

Dreams or déjà vu experiences

From a psychological perspective, these experiences can also be seen as:

The subconscious mind replaying symbolic stories to help process current emotions.

The “past life” images being metaphors for unfinished lessons or unresolved feelings.

So, whether seen as spiritual truth or psychological symbolism, such visions often hold meaning for personal growth.

:crescent_moon: 2. Dreams that come true

Dreams that later happen in real life — is sometimes called precognitive dreaming.
There are a few possible explanations:

Spiritual view: The dreamer’s intuition or higher self receives glimpses of future events.

Scientific/psychological view: The brain picks up subtle cues and patterns unconsciously, then the dream reflects them before the conscious mind notices.

Coincidence and selective memory: We remember the dreams that match reality but forget the many that don’t.

Regardless of the explanation, these dreams can be emotionally powerful and worth journaling 99% match real events or symbolically point to somethin

He is coming back to his senses by not landing at his ex’s place :grinning: his GPS rerouted him to self-respect and healing is a better destination :cherry_blossom::cherry_blossom:

@Dr_Aayush_Saran That sounds like a powerful and unusual experience. It could be the mind’s way of processing sensations and memories while under anesthesia, but some people also see such moments as spiritual or out-of-body experiences. It’s hard to say for sure.
