Stage 1 (Therapist introduction), Stage 2 (Active feedback), Stage 3 (Preinduction talk), Stage 4(Contract), Stage 5 (client Assessment)

Stage 6 : Case history

Ashuthosh’s childhood was traced back to a humble middle-class upbringing in a joint family of 10-12 members. His parents, sibling and he shared a room till he was 18 yrs old. There was good relationship between the members of the joint family household. He was pampered by an elderly couple next door since they had no issues and loved spending time at their place as a kid. His parents, moving out of the joint family setup to an individual bigger house had a significant impact on his mindset which is where he feels, he found himself and led him to aspiring big in life. Relationship between his parents was decent with occasional arguments over his mom’s suspicion of his dad as he was a small-time businessman with majority of female employees. His humble background inspired him to make it big in life. Sexual attraction towards his cousins started when he was 9 or 10 years and has memories of encounters with them at that age. In school, he was more into extra-curricular activities and passed exams with difficulty. He was actively involved in stage performances through his graduate and postgraduate course which made him confident as a performer. He feels, his first love during his graduation is the only one he felt connected in regard to romantic relationships and can term it as love. He is married to the lady of his choice whom he considers to be his anchor and credits her for whatever he has achieved so far. They have been married for 23 years after a courtship of 4-5 years. He enjoys casual sexual encounters outside of marriage and it gives him a sense of being young, companionship and a channel for expression. He has no significant medical or mental issues. Autoeroticism, alcohol and cigarettes are his stress management modalities. He has no issues of grief, anxiety or depression. He has firm belief in God and seeks astrology for guidance. He perceives himself to be confident, Lively, happy go lucky guy with a charisma that cannot go unnoticed and has felt that he is not one among the lot since his college days. He feels others perceive him to be a nice guy and hated by none. He attributes his strengths to be good convincing ability and communication. He has a weakness of bad financial management. He claims his hobbies to be interaction with women, listening to music and singing. He lives with his mom, wife and a daughter. He feels the lack of a friend who can actually motivate him to make it big in life. His typical day has 2 aspects. He is busy, productive and exhausted on the days he is out for his shoot schedule and extremely bored on non-shoot days. He has disturbed sleep almost all nights, as if his mind is active throughout the night
His goal is to

  1. Find himself
  2. Get out of boredom
  3. Find a way to channelize his energy to find his purpose in life
If the above goals are met, he envisions enhanced financial status and lifestyle, ability to build a creative community pool and help people.
His personal development goals are to streamline his work, finances and his life.

Stage 8 (Theme Finalization)

5.30pm-7pm
Session started with Invocation
Stage 9,10,11(Dave Elman, Light, progressive relaxation and visualization)

1st happy memory-Flash of him as a 2-yr old kid trying to open the gate to go to his neighbor’s house which he always loved to.

After the 1st happy memory, he said everything is blank in front of him as if he is in a box

T: That’s absolutely okay. Darkness doesn’t stay forever. Bring in to your awareness a bright ray of light with divine vibrations enter this dark space and clear out the darkness. Listen to the subtle sound of the vibrations

After sometime

T: Is there anything that comes to your awareness?

C: I am under water lying on my back and through the water I can see complete blurred green, as if I am seeing leaves of a tree through the surface of water.

T: That’s very significant because you have got out of the dark space and you are in water. Water signifies purity, clarity and flow. In this moment let go of all that is weighing you down.

After sometime

C: I still continue to see the same

T: Now that you are in water, maybe you can see and hear the flow of this water down the stream

C: I continue to see the same

I think I am no more in trance but I am just closing my eyes

The client was emerged. He said he feels very light

Day 2 Date: 6.11.2025

Closure in regard to conflicts with anyone-He was blank
Awareness of presence of ancestors-drifted to sleep-No IMR
Nudged with a light finger tap on his arm which had no response and client slept with snoring.
Was again nudged after 1hour 30 mins and he woke up saying “Did I sleep off” and was surprised he slept for more than an hour. He said he feels relaxed and light.

This session was followed by lunch

Day 2 Date: 6.11.2025
Session 3
3pm-5.30 pm
Stage 10 , stage 11 [Dave Elman, Ball of light, progressive relaxation, visualization (garden, cliff, back to garden, Temple].

IMR was positive throughout the cliff part of the session. However, after emerging the client said, he was with me throughout but in place of cliff, he had himself on top of a building with railing and in place of boxes he had dug a deep grave and dumped all the worries in it and closed it with mud.

Temple visualization-Temple was in his awareness and was feeling very cold and had some fragrance in his awareness inside the temple.

T: Is there anything that comes to your awareness?

C: I can see only colours and I am feeling cold and it is silent.

T: Bringing your awareness to what you have said earlier that you need a push/motivation to challenge self to do something big in life…. what do you feel about it?

C: I feel bad for what I have not done so far
I should have achieved long back
I feel sorry for myself that I am still struggling
All these years, I have put in efforts but I haven’t seen the results

T: Going back in time, when do you think the intensity of this emotion was at its highest?

C: Lately
Not able to help anyone financially
When I was young, I thought I had more time so wasn’t feeling low
Now I am old and still struggling for stability
I shouldn’t have got into business
Probably in job I would have had a stable income
I feel sorry
I was placed well in _________. At the age of 30 I had achieved a position that many do not. I couldn’t quit, but I quit which was a big move.
Maybe I am not cut out for business. I am not mentally strong to accept losses
Same feelings in college with choice of course
But somehow, I am blessed that someone helps.
Note: Client has tried multiple options after quitting job.
I took a risk with ______ (present business). It’s taken care of. Have staff
Have to take risk

T: So you have something on your mind to do

C: Scared to do anything new
Do not want to risk financially
Have ideas
I need a guide and philosopher
Searching for someone

T: Have you had any earlier in your life?

C: I am self-made. I have only taken inspiration
(Client named 1 person who encouraged him to start the present business but he has passed on now and another who guided him to do postgraduation followed by the job)

T: Now coming to your other concern with increased sexual urge, what are your thoughts on it

C: I am fascinated about sex since childhood

T : Where do you think this could be coming from?

C: May have seen parents since we were in the same room (ref: History-Joint family setup)
I looked up sexual content
In school would play with my private organ
I have had no sexual harassment
I used to have an urge to have sex with my teachers too
I have no shame about it
But I am surprised that from early childhood to now, it’s still the same
Now I feel, too much of this will harm my family life
May not get ladies as I get older

T: Does any connection between your 2 issues arise in your awareness?

C: Have to come out of porn and autoeroticism
I go weak with these
Replace the sexual urge with the urge to do something big
Replace this addiction
1-3 weeks, when I am not involved in autoeroticism, thoughts are clear and more productive
Maybe I can channelize my energy
Porn is out of reality. complicated because not humanly possible
I am sure if I can control my urge for porn and autoeroticism, I am more energetic
Channelize my energy
Quitting is not easy
Common among celebrities (Client named a few). They have been to deaddiction centers for this issue but such centers are not there in India
Want to streamline to avoid
Cannot read books. Adrenaline rush is not the same
Involved in autoeroticism for hours. 2 hours and more during the day
Satisfaction is more than having actual sex
I feel bad and guilty at times
Haven’t found an alternative
When not doing for weeks, very active
When stressed, gets back
Tried sadguru’s meditation, doesn’t help
Maybe need a friend who will motivate me to do something big. Like a guide

T: It’s good that that you are aware of your issues and you are also aware of what needs to be done. It’s just a matter of putting everything together in perspective and streamlining certain aspects of your life. we will work together towards it.

Emerge

Day 2 6.11.2025
Session 4
6.30pm -7.30pm

Stage 13 (Integration)
We ran through the entire session starting from day 1. Client was aware of his issue. Detailed case history helped him ventilate the issues in his life which helped arrive at a theme with elicitation of an emotion attached to the issue. Client, by himself gave a thought to why during closure, even his dad (passed on) hadn’t come to his awareness. He reasoned it for himself that maybe because he has no attachment with anyone.
After the temple visualization, whatever the client had spoken was run through to him. Client opened up that it wasn’t only an urge as mentioned during case history but serious addiction that is self-sabotaging. He was in consensus that his 2 issues are interconnected and hence the steps taken to resolve these 2 issues have to be integrated which could streamline his life.

Stage 14 (Closure)

The client was satisfied that he now has a clarity. Although he was aware of his issues, they were scattered. He now has clarity that his 2 main issues are interconnected and that resolution can be achieved by integrating them.

Stage 15 (Reports and Recommendations)

  1. Taking into consideration, the concept of energy centers(chakras) in the body, the 2nd chakra (Sacral/Svadishtana) is aligned with both sexuality and creativity. From this perspective, energy can be channelized towards creativity (client being in the creative field) rather than unacceptable addictions related to sexuality.

  2. Creative use of the free time to avoid boredom spiraling into self-sabotaging addictions.

  • Contact 2 known accomplished producers/Directors in the field of theatre by 16.11.2025 for opportunities in theatre (Client has a desire to explore theatre and it will be productive use of his time pursuing what interests him apart from his regular acting career)
  1. On non-shoot days, create a schedule to be at office from 10.30am-4pm (when in office, boredom will not set in and may gradually improve the business which is now primarily handled by his staff)

  2. Regular meditation of 15 mins to start with (6.30 Am-6.45am).

  3. Swimming-6.30pm-7.30pm (Productive use of time and he loves this activity)

  4. Magnesium supplement at night before bed after consultation with his physician (Benefits-Improves sleep, Testosterone balance in older men, enhanced physical performance, improves heart and bone health, enhances focus and memory).

7.Focus on sleep hygiene.

The reports were mailed to Ashuthosh the same evening

Feedback from the client was a voice message. Below is the feedback in direct speech.

“Hi Sarandha, My feedback for the session would be, first of all the place you selected was calm and quiet and I was relaxed in your session and your communication skill was very good. You were polite and I was not conscious to open up, which is very important in any session like this. You took me into confidence as a client; I could share my thoughts. The format/structure that you followed led to the final conclusion that I had from the session. That was very helpful. When it came to hypnotize /past life regression, maybe I was not able to go into past life, because I did not come to you with a major issue to sort out so maybe my mind was playing on that. I was drifting into sleep and that was a problem. I found my reason. I had in mind that maybe this is a problem but your session helped me realize that it is a major problem that I have to correct. Your recommendations were helpful and I am working on putting my schedule in place. Maybe down the line I will come again to sort out my issues. Thank you Sarandha”

Such an interesting session, Sarandha!
I absolutely loved the way you guided your client — from ‘darkness doesn’t stay forever…’ to ‘now that you are in the water’ and ‘when do you think the intensity was highest?’ Every line reflects such depth and experience.

There’s so much to learn from your language, relatability, continuity, and transitions.

I’m taking notes! Please keep sharing. Thank you.
