Stage 6: Case history
Pushpa’s trail of childhood memories begins with her Kindergarten days. She was at her uncle’s place for the purpose of education since, the small town that she hails from had no good schools. They are 4 siblings with 2 elder sisters and a younger brother. At school, she was good in studies and active in extracurricular activities. A few hurtful comments on her colour and few literally calling her a crow are etched in her mind. Some would playfully ask if she was picked up from the hay stock, while some others would ask if she was the domestic help at her dad’s house. Though she doesn’t hold it against those people, the fact that she mentioned it specifically, speaks for itself. Significant people that impacted her early life were her Maternal uncle who was a master and her parents. She labels her childhood to be a happy one with parents and siblings. She moved to hostel at the age of 16. This is the first time she experienced nightmare, described to be resembling sleep paralysis (Aware of surrounding but unable to move and a feeling of pressure on the chest) accompanied by moaning. Through her professional course, she was an average student. Following this, she secured a job and worked for 4 years, prior to marriage. After almost 7 years of marriage, she quit her corporate job to dedicate time for her son and manage household. The couple are blessed with a 12-year-old son. They had a premature baby that passed on, after being in ICU for 2 days. Following that, the couple decided not to have any more kids. During her 2nd pregnancy, she was told to leave the job and she attributes it to office politics. This did hurt her and she went on to have short stints in multiple organizations without a high stature, most being startups. She went on to do a course in personality development which she intended to take up professionally, but lack of clients deterred her from pursuing it further. Following this, she was involved in coaching IT professionals. Along with this she opted to be a freelancer in regard to building profiles and handling marketing for her clients. Presently she is doing only the latter. While Pushpa was on a roller coaster ride in her professional life, her personal life too, took a blow with frequent frictions between the couple after she quit her job. She shares a good bond with her sister but the same cannot be expressed in regard to her relation with her brother, sister-in-law and her co sister. Pushpa’s past romantic relationship history dates back to her engineering college days which eventually withered and she has no regrets in regard to it. when it comes to conflicts in relationships, she is straight forward which could be projected as being arrogant and rude. With turmoil raging in her professional and personal life, nightmares continued to be constant with frequency of once in 3 months/6 months. she was suggested to visit a Devi temple regularly to overcome nightmares. But she felt the frequency of nightmares increased after this and hence gave up. An astrologer advised her to visit a particular shiva temple for 9 months on new moon day. In the process of doing this, she noticed that she had these night mares on the nights of new moon and during her menstrual cycle. The dream pattern she has, other than the one resembling sleep paralysis are, whirlpool kind of effect from feet to waist, multiple dolls pulling her hair and once she felt her husband’s living cousin enter her body which made no sense to her. Her friend whom she believes to have some powers, has told her that it is the entity that is disturbing her through night mares and also her relationship with her husband and it seems to have played on Pushpa’s mind. She has no major health issues except her cholesterol being on the higher side. She had consulted a psychiatrist who prescribed medication, but her sister discouraged her from complying with it. The significant loss/grief in her life is attached to her 2nd baby and an uncle who died under suspicious circumstance 15-16 years ago. She is into meditation and yoga. She relies most on her mom, sister and friend. Guiding principles of her life are honesty and being helpful. She perceives herself to be a person of good intentions to help others. Others perceive her to be straight forward, dominant and good at networking. Considering her religious/spiritual practices, she connects to Lord Shiva. She participates in satsang of Mahatria (Infinitism) and listens occasionally to Sadguru. She considers her present professional endeavor to have given her an identity and freedom but without expected financial growth. Her hobbies are reading and listening to Podcasts. The challenges she faces on a typical day are travelling for work (Traffic) and household chores especially cooking since her husband constantly compares it to her mother in laws culinary skills.
Pushpa’s motivation and goal is to get over the nightmares and uplift her financial status.

Day 2 25.11.2025
Session 4
2.30pm -3.30pm
Stage 13: Integration
Pushpa’s interpretation of the 2nd session with happy memories and closures are as follows:
The message from her sons was to be softer, which could be directed towards her communication pattern. She is aware that she is straight forward and the conversation style of the region she hails from does appear to be rude. She is open to consciously amend this.
She felt the need to comply with the advice of her ancestors
The following is what she had to tell after the 3rd session
• She sees snakes often in her dreams. An astrologer has told that their entire family has “Sarpa Dosha” and hence, it will affect their marital relationships. The suggested ritual is long pending which she needs to attend to.
• The understanding elicited from the session in regard to her nightmares was that there was no reason for the perceived entity to affect her. Someone telling her, that her nightmares and her marital disturbance are because of an entity that is within her could have possibly played on her mind since she hasn’t felt it herself.
• It is a belief that “kuldevatha” should always be honored. The fact that she hasn’t visited the temple of her husband’s family kuldevatha for long, could be a calling from the deity.
Stage 14: Closure
Considering her interaction with the deity in the temple she said, she already feels her issue of nightmares is sorted. She is open to explore other possibilities to enhance her financial status. She has got an insight that she needs to improve her communication with her husband.
Stage 15: Reports and recommendations
1.Consiously work on improving communication with loved ones
2.Comply with advice given by ancestors, the message in the presence of deity and astrologer consulted earlier, to attend to the religious rituals which will have a positive effect in various aspects of life.
3.Be mindful and positive that no harm will be caused by the perceived entity as divine grace is with her
4.Consider chanting Hanuman Chalisa before bedtime (Gifted her a book of hanuman chalisa with translation and meaning)
The reports were mailed to the client
Feedback:
I had come here to sort out my night dream issue; I had from many years and other related issues which was impacting me indirectly. Session was structured well and explained well, so that I am aware of what and how it will happen. I got answers for my problems. I feel much more calm, peaceful and light. Steps to be taken going forward was discussed.
