Vitals: Sachin (name changed), M, 15YO, Hypnosis 5/10, eye roll 2/4, V/A/K – 7/2/3 - Fear-of-failure, 8/10*

Sachin is referred to PLRT by parents as they feel he had multiple phobias, sabotages his opportunities and is anxious. They have tried psychotherapy and counselling. Client refused to cooperate. The most pressing problem for them was their son avoided any kind of social interaction including that with family members and gets scared during team selection at the time he was referred to me.
Sachin’s parents want Sachin to be a cricketer and have enrolled him in cricket coaching from the age of 4 years. Their focus for him is to be a professional cricketer since his father wanted to be a cricketer and did not get through selections.
Currently Sachin is underweight, refuses to eat, does not want to mingle with anyone and more importantly, not able to lead a normal life.

I introduce PLRT and since client is more bent on scientific side of things, I explain PLRT in terms of conscious, subconscious and unconscious mind. During Pre-talk I clarify client’s doubts.
Sachin’s mother signs the contract form. I assure Sachin of the oath of confidentiality and inform his parents that without Sachin’s consent I cannot share any information from the session.
During history taking, Sachin shared significant memories from age 1 till age 11. He said he does not remember anything between age 11 to 14. He just remembered his birthday when he turned 15. When I asked him before the session what is his goal from PLRT, he said he just wants to be able to sleep peacefully. Based on his inputs it was clear to me that this was a good case for PLRT.
After completing stages 1-8 from therapist introduction to Theme finalization (client agrees that fear maybe an issue to explore), we begin induction.
I went through the checklist and ensure client is comfortable.

T- This is what the therapist said C- This is what the client said

Session 1: Happy Memory

After Dave Elman and progressive relaxation, I ask the client to recall a happy memory. Client recalls a happy memory when he was 4-5 years old. He says he was watching TV by himself. It was a Sinchan episode. He says it was so funny he cannot stop laughing. Client smiles while saying this.

After this session, his parents say Sachin hugged his parents and was smiling after a long time. They say he ate normal food for the first time.

Session 2: Age Regression

I use the script for reframing current life traumas and Sachin’s body shakes when he is releasing any hurt or pain from last 10 years. I redirect focus on deep abdominal breathing and remind him to relax his forehead, jaws, neck, shoulder and body. He relaxed and when he emerged he said he is feeling lighter.

Session 3:

T: Are you on the bridge?

C: Yes, I am walking

T: Are you alone or is there someone with you?

C: There is someone with me

T: Can you tell me what you see?

C: I think it is my guide. He looks like half Rama and half Krishna merged together. He is in deep blue color.

T: Wonderful. I am happy you have a guide with you. Take your time. Let me know where your guide takes you.

C: I see something.

T: Can you tell me what you see?

C: Plain ground, dusty.

T: Ok… Can you see your feet?

C: Yes, I am wearing white dhoti.

T: Can you look up and see yourself?

C: Yes, I am 26-27 years old. My skin is lighter than what I have now. I am a man.

T: Are you alone? Is there someone with you?

C: Yes, I see a woman’s feet. She has red paint on her feet and circle in the middle. She looks like a married woman. Younger than me. Very fair.

T: Do you think she may be is your wife from that lifetime?

C: I don’t know.

T: Ok… Can you look at her eyes? Do you recognize her as anyone from your current life?

C: No, I do not recognize her.

T: Ok. Is there anything else you see?

C: Round structures with straw on the roof, like huts.

T: Where is this place?

C: Somewhere in North India maybe

T: Do you know the place name?

C: It is blurred, I cannot see.

T: Ok. Do you know around what timeline it could be?

C: Looks like a timeline before Mahabharata.

T: Ok. Go to a time in that lifetime that is significant.

C: I see armies. That woman looks very serious. We are at war.

T: Are you fighting as well?

C: Yes.

T: Can you tell me what you see?

C: I see my body on the battlefield. I lost. I am dead.

His eyebrows start to knot

T: Float above. Focus on deep abdominal breathing. Breathing in and out. Relax your forehead. Relax your face and eyes. Let me know if you become aware of any last thoughts.

C: Starts to relax. I hear “Jagannath”. I want to come back.

T: Ok… In a few moments I will count from 1 to 5. When I count 5 you will be completely awake and feeling fantastic. Waking from trance, feeling fantastic, carrying all the lessons that you have learned.

Aware of your body now and the position of your arms and legs. When you are ready, you may open your eyes feeling refreshed.

T: How are you feeling?

C: Feeling relaxed and good.

Sachin became aware that his death in a previous lifetime is the reason for him to fear failure in this lifetime.

Closure: The next day I asked the pain level, client said he was able to sleep well. Parents said pain level is 2.

It has been two days and his Parents say that he has been livelier than before and he has been able to sleep peacefully. Sachin wants to meditate and opted for body scan meditation. I will have to connect after the next selection to see how the client is doing. In the mean time parents have acknowledged that they have to balance their expectations of their son for him to do better.

Hey Alum! So so brilliant of you to ha e navigated sachin, being in a closed and withdrawn state. You have “you can trust me” screaming out of every pour on you. Blessed to have a teenage with perhaps a long life ahead of him and what a tremendous transformation in very short span. May be the guides be with all of us and much love to Sachin. Be well!..:)…

God gives his choicest of the blessings as children and alas! this is what the parents do with it!
but am relived that the little boy found you my blessed @bhatshwetha
what must be the pressure to ruin a game that people love so much for this little boy!

I wished an old friend on his birthday yesterday and came to know that his son for whom I had conducted a session for sometime ago, has found the purpose of his life and now doing exceptionally well for the father to say,

“ನಿಮ ಶಿಷ್ಯ ತುಂಬಾ ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿ perform ಮಾಡ್ತಾ ಇದಾನೆ, he got 99. something percent in 1st year psychology [in US]”

This is I what I envision for our little Sachin as well, wait and watch.

as humans we have failed on all fronts, we have neither created peace for the planet, nor the animals nor even for our own children! what have we done! which is why these little angles get way led to resort to drugs and other substance abuse… I bow down to all those take the time to reach to them. And I actually can’t thank you enough for having reached to him. Thank you once again.

amazing, look at how much of an impact even the prelude of a 15-Stage PLR session can have. Actually you followed the process in all sincerity. Thank you once again.

what a smsakra this little fellow has!

super!

no leading questions after the Sub-personality emerges else this will turn to being re-scripting instead of reframing (refer your workbook), instead the question could have been,
after some stress management, paraphrasing, “breathing into the experience… who could she be?”

he is having transference of cricket to war and knows that he will loose no matter how much he tries and hence the pressure.

if you could have focused on stress management, this session could have been transformed from KMF to Classic pattern and remove any residual, unlike now, where there could be some left overs to resolve. In case you get the opportunity please do conduct one or two sessions.

well done,
do offer some sessions for parents as well as they are also going to benefit immensely from this.
keep it up!
