Tanya’s History:

Tanya is a 55-year-old married woman. She works as a teacher and has always been a fiercely independent, sensitive, and grounded individual with good people skills. Despite these strengths, she currently struggles with a deep sense of physical and mental exhaustion. Tanya often feels lonely and longs for mature emotional connection, as most people around her are either self-occupied or emotionally immature. Her sleep quality is poor, and she experiences high stress due to overthinking. She also suffers from eczema and claustrophobia. Emotionally, she carries guilt for not being able to care for her mother adequately before her passing last year, and she harbors fears regarding her financial security and the uncertainty of her future.

Her personal history reveals that her mother had severe depression for many years, and Tanya became her emotional support from a very young age. This forced her to grow up quickly and take on responsibilities far beyond her years. She has two siblings, both of whom are emotionally dependent on her, which adds to her sense of burden. Her marriage, while stable, has not been emotionally fulfilling. Her husband is kind but self-centered, critical, and has never taken responsibility for family matters. His sudden retirement at the age of 47 without any intimation was a major shock to the family. Tanya also spent many years trying to please her in-laws, who were unhappy with her marriage, which created further emotional strain.

Despite these challenges, Tanya describes her childhood as largely happy, shaped by loving parents, except for the difficulties created by her mother’s mental illness. Some of the key turning points in her life include the birth of her elder daughter, and the loss of her mother. She has a close bond with her daughters, who are doing well professionally, though she sometimes feels they lack motivation beyond their jobs.

Spiritually, Tanya believes in karma and past lives. She is a very active and fit person , she practices meditation which helps her stay grounded. However, she continues to feel emotionally unsupported. Her core emotional themes revolve around guilt, fear of abandonment, a heavy sense of responsibility, suppressed disappointment in relationships, and the loneliness that comes from always being the strong one for others. These unresolved emotions manifest in her health challenges and overall fatigue.

Possible core issues to explore:

Find root of her claustrophobia,
Explore Past-life links to over-responsibility / guilt / loneliness
Healing her bond with mom.
Releasing fear of future & financial insecurity.
Unresolved guilt: Not being able to “save” her mother
Fear of abandonment & future security
Over-responsibility: Feels like she must take care of siblings, family
Suppressed anger / disappointment (husband, in-laws)
Loneliness & lack of emotional support despite being strong for others
Early caregiver role .

Tanya wants to work on these issues:

Why do I always happen to be the responsible one? Why do I feel alone on this journey?
Chronic exhaustion due to overthinking and overdoing.
Financial insecurity.
Fear of the future.
Why do I procrastinate so much?

Session 2 (3rd Oct, 5:00 PM - 7:30 PM):
Objective:Exploration of happy memories (Stages 8-11).

Core Emotion:
After a brief discussion we came up with
Fear as her core emotions. Specifically, the fear of what will happen if she lets go.

This fear expresses itself in different emotional layers:

We listed reasons of fear:
Fear of losing control
Fear of abandonment
Fear of inadequacy/guilt

Due to this fear, over time she has developed into chronic over-responsibility. Which manifests emotionally as Guilt (for not doing enough). Loneliness (because she feels unsupported). And Fatigue and overwhelm (from carrying everyone’s burdens)

Session started with:

We began the session with a prayer to the divine and the masters.

Started session with Dave Elman - Progressive relaxation - Ball of light - Staircase - Garden - Boat Visualization and ended session with Childhood Happy Memories.

Session 3:
(4th October 11:00 AM - 2:30 PM):
Objective: (Stages 12-13).

Started session with Dave Elman -Progressive relaxation - Ball of light - Staircase - Garden.

Induction & Deepening

Now, imagine a staircase in front of you. With each step down, you relax twice as deeply. 10 deeper. 9 going deeper feeling peaceful. 8 feeling safe. And this is how we proceed all the way down to 1.

Entering the First Lifetime – The Cave

T: You might see a door. When you are ready, step through the doorway into another time, another place.

T: As the doorway opens… notice what is around you.

T: What do you see?

C: I see a boat. Like the one I saw yesterday.
(Client had seen a boat from the cliff).

T: Where are you? Look around and see?

C: It’s very dark around here. I can’t see anything. I hear thunder.

T: Take your time. And see if there is any light around.

C: I think I am in the boat. I am moving.

C: I am traveling in a boat. I hear loud thunder. It’s scary.

C: I am inside a cave.

T: I am with you. If you are feeling uncomfortable you can choose to float above the scene and watch. If you feel ok. Let me know what you see?

C: It’s very dark and cold.

T: Are you ok? How are you feeling?

C: I feel very lost.

C: I am alone and scared.

C: I am just moving and can’t see anything, feeling very scared.

Breathe is rapid. She looks very uncomfortable.

T: Take a deep breath. I am here with you. You are completely safe.

T: You can float above the scene and watch.

T: More deep breaths (we did 5 mins of deep breaths)

Slowly she calms down.

T: Are you ok? Do you want to continue?

C: ok.

T: Remember I am with you, and this has already happened.

T: Now if you choose we can keep moving through the cave.

T: See if there is a light or opening in the cave

T: Can you see anything?

T: Is someone guiding you?”

T: Take your time. I am with you.

C: I see a pink light on the right side.

T: Ok. Can you go close to it and check.

C: Yes. There is a way to go in.

T: Do you want to go in? Remember you are completely safe.

C: Will try. Not sure if it’s safe. I want to go in and see.

T: Gently step out of the boat and slowly go inside. Let me know if you feel any discomfort.

T: Do you see anything or anyone?

C: There is a long tunnel. I am walking slowly. I hear some kind of birds.

T: Can you see the birds?

C: No

C: I see an opening to go out.

T: Ok. You can approach the opening.

T: Do you want to go out?

C: Yes.

T: What do you see outside?

(Again she is breathing very heavily. )

T: What happened? Are you ok?

C: I see a deep valley outside. Can’t go out.

(Again she seems upset. I calm her down. )

T: How are you feeling seeing the valley?

C: I am stuck. I don’t know how to get out?

T: Please don’t worry, relax, I am here with you.

(She was very uncomfortable)

C: As I count 3 to 1 you will be back in the boat.

T: How are you feeling now that you are in the boat?

C: I am moving again. I see Buddha in the cave.

T: How do you feel seeing Buddha?

C: I am surprised.

T: You may ask him for advice. And pray to him. Does Buddha say anything?

C: He just says you will be ok. Be patient and don’t be so scared. He does not tell me how to get out of the cave. (She looked very scared and cried).

T: As I count from 3 to 1 you will be outside the cave and in the garden.

T: You can rest here for a while.
(She rests here for almost 10 mins).

T: Are you ok? Do you want to explore more?

T: Remember you are completely safe.

C: Ok i will try.

(Came back to the garden and relaxed for a bit)

Second Lifetime.

Now can you visualize a bridge? When you are ready, let’s cross the bridge. I will count 5 to 1 and you will cross the bridge.

The Greek Woman

T: Now let’s go to a significant moment in your life where your fear comes from.

T: Can you see anything?

C: It’s going to rain. It’s very cloudy.

T: Who are you? Look down at your feet. What do you notice?”

C: My legs are all wet and dirty.

C: I am working on a farm. It’s very muddy. Water all around.

T: Can you tell me who you are?

C: I am a woman. I am working on the farm.

T: Do you see anyone else around you?

C: There are other women with me. They are also working with me.

T: Can you recognize them? Where are you?

C: I can’t see their faces clearly. It’s starting to rain.

T: We are all looking for shelter. There is no shelter. We are soaking wet.

C: We have to keep working.

C: They are speaking a different language. ( Later she told me it sounded like Greek or Italian) .

T: Go to another significant event in this life. Maybe at home for dinner.

C: ok

T: Are you home? Do you see anyone with you?

C: There is a man . I don’t know who he is?

T: Look closely. Anyone you know from this lifetime?

C: No, I can’t recognize him.

T: Let’s go to another significant event in your life.

C: ok

T: Where are you? Do you see anything?

C: I am standing at the window looking outside.

T: What do you see?

C: I see a light in the sky. I want to go into the light.

T: What happens as you enter. What is your experience?

C: I feel peace, light, free. I want to stay here.

T: Do you see anyone with you?

C: I want to be alone.
(She stayed.i. the light for a while.)

T: Whenever you are done we can proceed.

Third Lifetime – The Cricket Player

T: Let’s explore more. You find yourself in another lifetime.

T: Where are you? What do you see?

C: I am in a stadium.

C: I hear a lot of cheering people, everyone is applauding.

T: What are you doing?

C: I am playing something. I feel very happy.

T: What are you playing?

C: I am not sure.

T: Are you holding anything in your hand like a racket, bat, ball?

C: I think I am holding a bat. It’s very loud here.

T: Can you see what kind of bat?

C: It’s very heavy. I think it’s a cricket bat.

T: Are you a batsman?

C: Yes.

T: Can you look around and see if you know anyone else in your team. From this life or any other lives.

C: I am trying to see. Faces are not clear.

T: That’s ok. Look around one more time.

(She took a good minute )

C: I see my best friend. She is behind me.

T: Do you know her from this lifetime?

C: She is my best friend.

T: Is she playing?

C: Yes. She is the wicket keeper.

C: My friend is saying something to me.

T: What is she saying?

C: Why do you look so tired?

T: Are you feeling tired?

C: Not sure.

T: It’s been a long day. I have been batting for a long time. I have no choice. I have to keep playing.

C: My friend insists I rest well after the game.

T: How does that make you feel?

C; Feels like she cares.

T: Are you ready to relax? Ready to replenish yourself?

C: I want to rest. But it’s not easy for me to rest. I have to play and win.

T: Lets go to another significant event in this life?

C: ok

T: What do you see?

C: I am at home. It’s very serene and quiet.

T: Who else is at home with you. Do you see anyone?

C: I think it’s my mother.

T: What is she doing? Is she saying something to you?

C: She asks me to spend more time with her. She is very lonely.

T: Is there anyone else at home?

C: No

T: Lets go to another significant event in this life.

C: I am tired. I want to go back.

T: Ok.

C: I feel tired all the time. I need to rest.

T: Now, slowly we will.return from the garden, bringing with you all the wisdom and peace you have gained.

T: As I count from 3 to 1 you will be in the garden.

T: You can rest here for a while. Take your time to relax.
( she relaxed for 5 mins)

T: Now let me know if you see anyone in the garden with you?

C: I see a peacock.

T: ok. What is the peacock doing?

C: The peacock starts to fly.

C: The peacock is flying in the sky circling rapidly. It’s scary.

T: Ok. What else do you see?

C: It’s starting to rain very heavily. Like a storm .

T: I am here with you. You are safe.
( we waited for a minute or so)

T: Let me know when you are ready to proceed.

C: Now the rain has stopped. It’s very calm and peaceful. I want to rest.

T: Do you see anyone, a guide, or a friend or a master?

She took few mins

C: I see Buddha.

T: You may ask them for guidance and pray if you wish. Did you get any message?

C: Yes. He is sitting next to me.
( She cried for a bit and then there was a smile).

T: Let me know when you are ready.

C: Buddha says he will be my guide.

T: Ok. How does it make you feel?

C: I am feeling very relaxed.

T: You can visit this place anytime you wish.

C: Ok

T: Are you ready to return?

C: Yes

T: Take a deep breath and thank the guides who appeared for you today.

Walk back up the staircase step by step
1 2 returning gently
3 4 feeling more awake
5 6 bringing clarity and calmness with you.
7 8 feeling lighter
9 10 eyes open, fully awake, calm, and refreshed.

Session 4 (4th October, 4:00 PM - 5:30 PM):

We discussed in detail about her experiences.

Her summary of progress:

Tanya experienced a deep and profound emotional release and insight into her recurring life themes.
The regression session offered clarity on her lifelong patterns of control, fatigue, and loneliness.
Her body relaxing and her pain decreasing, this shows that the healing is working. She was extremely happy with the sessions.

My observation at the end of the session:

Tanya seemed very calm and serene, emotionally lighter, and more centered.
She appeared to have released layers of fear and guilt, replacing them with acceptance and calm strength.
The session concluded with Tanya being open to continued healing work in future sessions.

Dear Deepa,

My congratulations to you on your first case and reported after session pain levels. My learnings are as under for your consideration pl,

I am sure its just a typo !

We intend to use these to frame our suggestions.

That’s so amazing Deepa !!

That’s a long haul.

We have our theme here.

Crisp and effective report.

A good lesson for us as therapists.

We arrived at Client to be K.

I would always recom to do stress management and first let the client experience the trauma from past. That would give us Catharsis.
Let “float above and witness” be our subsequent/last resort.

Consider to paraphrase in these situations.

I am sure its a typo here.

Lets consider to guide them in building up this bridge (may be use the feeling of FEAR as building material) and assist them in walking over and across.

Consider to build up the social structure as it is in the past life being experienced, Once firmly rooted then work upon the relation with present life.

We let the higher consciousness decide this part.

Eyes !!! Souls speaks through eyes. We may consider to use this.

We do consider to ascertain if there is anything more of significance to be explored before suggesting to move ahead to next SE.

Does she carries this feeling from life of cricketer to present life ?

Consider to induce a PHS here.

Very well to know this . May these learnings stay with her for ever.

  1. We do consider to explore the death moments which are state of hyper awareness,
  2. KMF to classic forges the session to clear any residues.

I am happy for the client and you as the therapist.

Best Wishes

Regards

Monesh.

Thanks a lot Monesh for a detailed feedback. I truly appreciate this from the bottom of my heart. I will take time and go through every bit of your feebback. During the session I found myself rushing to the next part. Hopefully I am more relaxed during the next one. Thanks again.
