Every time I sit with a client and witness what unfolds in the quiet safety of that space, my faith in this work deepens.

PLR, for me, is not about proving theories or chasing extraordinary experiences, it is about listening with humility to the wisdom that already lives within the human system.

Again and again, I see how the body carries stories that words alone cannot reach and how healing begins the moment these stories are finally heard without judgment.

This case is one such reminder.

As I sat with this young woman, I was struck not by the intensity of her symptoms, but by the courage it took for her to arrive after having lost hope.

What unfolded was a gentle, profound remembering of safety, of worth and of a relationship with the body that had been shaped by survival rather than care. In moments like these, I am reminded why I trust this therapy so deeply…coz when held ethically and with compassion, it does not impose healing, it allows it.

Each session reinforces my belief that beneath pain and patterns lies an innate intelligence waiting to be met and it is a privilege to witness that meeting take place.

Client 29 years old, Working Professional with a financial giant, in Central London, UK, with severe Red Skin Syndrome on Face.

WHEN SHE WALKED IN…

T: What brings you to me today?

C : (seemingly tired…)

I don’t know if I believe in this… But I don’t have anything left to try.

I’ve changed dermatologists so many times. Every doctor says something different. Tests are normal… treatments only made my face worse.

I don’t know how.

T: What has this condition taken from you ?

C : oh…my whole life. I was always outdoors trekking, cycling, adventure sports. I need movement. अब सब बंद हो गया है… I avoid people… mirrors… photographs.

Session 1

Present Life History

The client is a 29-year-old working professional with a long-standing pattern of high physical activity, endurance, and self-reliance. She identifies as kinesthetic and adrenaline-oriented, using movement and physical exertion as her primary mode of emotional regulation. Rest and slowing down are experienced with guilt, often equated with weakness or failure. Emotional distress has historically been managed through productivity and physical push-through rather than verbal expression or help-seeking.

The onset of chronic facial redness and burning significantly disrupted her functioning and identity. Despite multiple dermatological consultations and treatments, symptoms persisted and worsened, leading to emotional exhaustion, social withdrawal, reduced self-confidence, and loss of previously enjoyed outdoor activities. Medical advice to “learn to live with it” contributed to feelings of helplessness and resignation.

At present, the client demonstrated heightened fear response related to her symptoms, diminished trust in her body, and emotional depletion, alongside a residual openness to alternative therapeutic approaches.

Pre briefing went very well and ended with a small relaxation excercise to prepare her for deep subconscious access.

Happy childhood memories.

The client lies comfortably, her breadth slow and deep.

T : We are not going to fight your body here. We will listen to it.

PLR is not about imagination. It is about allowing subconscious memory like emotional, somatic, cellular to surface.

You remain in control at all times.

C : I just want some relief.

T : Make yourself comfortable…

There’s nothing you need to do right now.

Just allow your body to sit the way it wants to sit.

No correction. No effort.
Throughout this experience you can hear my voice, you can move if you want and you can come back anytime

Nothing will be forced.
Nothing needs to happen.

Just notice your breath… without changing it.

T: Imagine something very familiar to you.

I only followed the orders.

C : I am explaining…I speak fast

C : They are tying my hands….. dragging me away.

T : Where are you taken?

C : Back into the open desert…..no shade.

( Silence…)

T : Say it slowly.

C : (crying…)

My strength became my punishment.

T :…stay with it now.

C : (voice became very weak)

I am tied…..the sun is burning.

T : …oh…notice your body.

C : my lips are cracked…. my skin is raw.

मेरा चेहरा आग की तरह जल रहा है

T : What are you feeling strongly in the moment ?..

What emotion is strongest?

C : Anger…I feel angry…also deeply sad.

T : you don’t need to fight anymore.

Let the body do what it needs to do.

C : (very softly)…

I have stopped struggling…..am too tired.

T : that’s okay.

Keep noticing the moment when the pain ends.

C : …It stopped … feeling relieved.

C : I see the Alps below… so quiet now.

C : Relief… but also sadness.

T : Now imagine a soft, cool light not strong… not bright… just enough.

Let it gently rest over your face… like a protective veil.

T: That calm is the seal. It will continue integrating on its own.

In a moment, I’ll count from 1 to 5… bringing you fully back.

All wisdom stays. All heaviness dissolves.

You return grounded, safe, and present.

what is the lesson you learned from this life?

C : …that I chased my worth through pain. This life asks me to rest without guilt.

T: And what has changed now?

C : now I choose care… over conquest.

The divine presence also said in this life I must learn strength through care.

T : so true

Why do you feel this condition is present in this life?

C: .may be to stop pushing… to rest… to treat my body like home, not as equipment.

T : Release the vow

“I must endure pain to be worthy.”

C : silence…

T: Send cool pink healing light to your face.

C : (deep breaths…)

burning is less now… It feels safe.

T : Take a deep breath… and you may if you feel …taking your time … whenever you are ready you may gently open your eyes .

(Pause)

C : (eyes open, calm)

I feel lighter…

..more at peace.

T : Take your time… there’s no rush to speak.
Just notice how your body feels sitting here right now.

Just let that settling be there.

T : be very gentle with yourself.
No analysing…no judging

Session 3

My Reflections…

As I watched her leave that day, calmer in her body and gentler with herself, I was reminded yet again that healing does not begin when symptoms disappearing…it begins when the war within ends.

Her skin did not soften because we chased it; it softened because it was finally heard.

Across lifetimes and in this one, her body had carried the burden of proving worth through endurance, until it no longer could.

In allowing safety, rest and compassion to replace survival, something ancient relaxed.

This case reaffirmed a quiet truth I return to often in my work that when the nervous system feels safe enough to stop, the body remembers how to heal on its own.

My role was never to fix her, but to hold a space where she could listen to herself again and that, in itself, was enough to begin.
