Healing the Wounds of Unfulfilled Motherhood : A journey through the soul's lessons

I, sat in quiet reflection after Seema’s session, the air still humming with the energy of what had just transpired…
These moments where lifetimes of pain unraveled, where a soul finally steps out of its self-imposed shadows…
Watching Seema release the grief she had unknowingly carried across life times had been both humbling and deeply moving. The depth of her sorrow, the silent battles she had fought through time, and the moment of surrender when she finally embraced the truth that she was never broken, never cursed was nothing short of sacred.
There is always an unspoken weight in sessions like these, the kind that lingers long after the client had gone. I am feeling a quiet reverence for the courage it took to face wounds buried beyond conscious memory… Seema ventured into the depths of her soul’s journey and emerged lighter n freer. It was a transformation that no textbook, no logical explanation could ever fully capture.
Yet, even as relief settled in, there is also a deep sense of responsibility. Holding space for someone’s deepest fears, guiding them through lifetimes of sorrow, required more than just skill…it demands a lot of presence, patience, and unwavering compassion. It is not me who healed Seema… she healed herself. I was merely a bridge…may be my voice continuously reminded her that she is safe, that she is loved, that she always had the power to choose healing.

As I closed it for the day, I took a deep breath, offering silent gratitude to Seema, to the unseen Guides who had walked with her, and to the profound mystery of the Soul’s Journey.

Somewhere, across time and space, a cycle is been broken. And in its place, hope has taken root…:pray:

PRAYER FOR MY GURUJI:pray::pray:
“गुरुजी :pray::pray:,

HISTORY TAKING
Seema’s Journey so far…
From Heartbreak to Hope
For years, Seema had dreamed of holding her child in her arms, feeling tiny fingers wrap around hers, and hearing the soft coos of a baby she could call her own. But life had other plans. Each time she dared to hope, it was snatched away from her…miscarriage after miscarriage, leaving behind wounds no one could see, but she could feel in every breath, every heartbeat.
At first, she told herself it was just bad luck. “Next time will be different,” she whispered, forcing herself to believe it. But as the losses kept coming, something inside her began to shift. Grief settled into her bones, weighing her down with self-doubt, guilt, and the relentless, haunting question—, “Why me?”
She had tried everything, medical interventions, prayers, and endless nights of silent pleading to the Universe. Doctors reassured her that the losses weren’t her fault, but their words felt empty. Deep down, she couldn’t shake the feeling that maybe… just maybe… she wasn’t meant to be a mother. That perhaps she was being punished for something she couldn’t even remember.
Her husband was her rock, holding her through nights of uncontrollable tears, whispering that they would get through this together. And yet, despite his unwavering love, Seema felt utterly alone. No one could truly understand the weight she carried, the silent grief that consumed her from the inside out. Friends and family, though well-meaning, offered reassurances that felt hollow. How could they understand what it was like to wake up feeling… empty?
To feel as if each loss had taken a piece of her, leaving behind only a shadow of who she used to be?
As the grief deepened, so did the distance between her and the world around her. Even her marriage, once a place of comfort, began to feel strained. She struggled to put her pain into words, afraid that if she spoke it aloud, it would break her completely.
And then came the deeper questions, the ones that logic and medicine couldn’t answer… Was there something more to her suffering?..Could this be a karmic pattern, a wound from another time that she had unknowingly carried into this life? …Was she trapped in a cycle she didn’t know how to break?..
With nowhere else to turn, she decided to explore past life regression, a choice that both terrified and intrigued her.
**What if she found something she wasn’t ready to face? **
But what if… what if she finally found the answers she was searching for?

The experience was unlike anything she had ever imagined. As she drifted into the depths of her subconscious, she saw a life lived long ago, of a woman who had loved and lost, just like her. A woman who had carried the same unbearable grief. A cycle of pain that had never been healed.
And then, in a moment of pure clarity, Seema saw herself, not just in that past life, but in this one too. For the first time, she let go of the blame. She held that wounded part of herself close and whispered the words she had needed to hear all along:
"It’s not your fault… You are not broken… You are not unworthy…

THEME:
Healing the Wounds of Unfulfilled Motherhood: A Journey of Surrender and Trust

The above theme was chosen as the case revolves around the Seema’s deep longing for motherhood.

PRE BRIEFING:
Pre briefing was done for a bit long duration,
Seema was made to understand that PLR is a therapeutic tool to explore her subconscious memories that may hold answers to unresolved patterns in her life.
Also that it is not about proving past lives but about accessing emotions and experiences that influence present challenges.
Intent was set about what she hopes to gain from the session. Reinforcing that healing is the main focus, and the past life revealed will be one that holds the wisdom she needs.
I let her know that emotions may surface but she is never alone in the process. Emphasizing that she can step out of any overwhelming memory and view it from a distance.
I reminded her that she is on a journey of self-discovery and healing is a choice she can make.
Pre-briefing ended with a small relaxation exercise to prepare her for deep subconscious access.

Session 3

Dave Elman - Progressive relaxation - Ball of light - staircase - Garden

I ( as therapist) spoke in calm and grounding voice sitting besides her…
that she is absolutely safe here…and with a count from 5 to 1 she will drift back through time n space… where healing is needed the most… and allow all the images unfold naturally…
5…4…3…2…and 1…
What do you see?
(A long silence. Seema’s face tightens, her eyebrows furrowing as if stepping into a heavy memory.)
C: It’s dark… I feel cold… I’m lying on the ground. My body feels weak.

T: Where are you?
(Seema’s voice trembles, her breathing shallow.)
C: …a village…it’s a village… very old type, the houses are made of wood and mud. I am… a woman. I am… Malini. My hands… they are thin, bony… I feel I am sick.

T: What has happened, to you Malini?
(A single tear slips down her cheek.)
C: I was pregnant… but I lost my baby…I bled too much… I am so weak…No one helps me. I… I die alone.
(Seema’s breath shudders, as if reliving the final moments of Malini’s life.)

T: I want you to step outside this moment, watching it from a safe distance… You are not alone here… I am here with you…
Take a deep breath and tell me what do you need to understand about this life?
(She inhales deeply…)
C: I never forgave myself… I believed I was weak…I failed my child. This pain… I carried it. I still carry it…even today.

T: And now, do you choose to release it?
(her face softens, her breathing slowing )
C: Yes… I am seeing Malini… she’s standing in front of me… smiling, but her eyes… they are kind n understanding.

T: What is she telling you?
C: that… It isn’t my fault. It is just time… let go…
(a deep exhale escapes, as if centuries of sorrow have been lifted from her soul.)
C: I feel… lighter…much lighter… like I’ve let go off something I didn’t even realize was holding me down.

T: Now, with a count feom 5 to 1, I want you to allow yourself to move beyond this moment… beyond the pain, beyond the physical body.
5…4…3…2…and 1…
You are no longer Malini…You are the soul that lived as Malini.
What do you see?
(her breath steadies, her expression is calm.)
C: I see… light. It’s everywhere… warm, golden light… I am floating, there’s no fear. It’s peaceful. My body… it doesn’t feel heavy anymore.

T: Good… allow yourself to rest in this space…
( after a silence)
What happens next?
C: I feel… someone is here. I can sense their presence…

T: Who is there?
(A soft smile forms as if recognizing a familiar presence.)
C: It’s my child… the one I lost.
(Her voice catches, emotion rising in her throat.)

T: What does the soul of your child want to tell you?
(she listens, her hands instinctively moving over her stomach as if holding something precious.)
C: She tells me… ‘I was never lost, Maa. I was always with you.’
(A deep sigh, a release of something unspoken, long buried within her soul.)

T: Now, allow yourself to move even further… beyond the past life, into the space between the place where the soul rests and learns.
What do you see?
(her face glows as if touched by an unseen light.)
C: Beings of Light… they are everywhere. They are not human… but they feel familiar, like I have always known them.

T: Do they have a message for you?
C: yes, **they say… I am not broken… I have always been whole, I chose these experiences not as punishment, but as lessons in trust and surrender. **
They are asking to let go of my fear as much love is waiting for me.
(A deep silence …)

T: Take a few deep breadths…
now, with a count from 10 to 1, you will drift back through time… a time your soul has lived many lives. There is another life that holds wisdom for you. Let it come naturally…
10…9…8…
3…2…and 1…
Where are you and what do you see?
C: it’s a temple… Shri Matangi Devi Mandir… Kamakoti puri… I have lived here since childhood.

T: How did you come to live in this temple?
C: (pause…) My parents… they brought me here. I was very young, maybe 6 or 7. I don’t remember much, but I know they left me here to serve The Devi.

T: what is your name?..what do your parents call you??
C: …mmm…Chand…Chandra…they call me Chandra.

T: nice name Chandra…
Achha Chandra why did they leave you?
C: (a deep inhale…) They could not have another child… In our family, the firstborn girl was always given to Devi… dedicated for lifelong service. It was an honor, they said. But I… (her voice tightens) I did not choose this…

T: What do you feel as that child?
C: (whispers) Lonely… I watch other children play outside, laugh with their mothers… but I am told I belong to the temple. My duty is to serve, not to desire…

T: What did your life look like as you grew older?
C: I love the temple… despite everything. The scent of sandalwood, the bells at dawn, the rhythmic chanting of mantras… I wake up before the sun, sweep the temple floors, light the lamps. The world outside faded… this is my home…

T: Did you ever feel happy?
C: Yes… when I sang bhajanai… when I dressed Devi in flowers… when I felt her presence near me. But….Something… is missing. I don’t know what… but there is an emptiness inside me.

T: What is missing?
(her breath shudders, a soft pain flickering across her face.)
C: I want to be a mother… but I am not allowed to leave the temple. I live my life in devotion, but I always long to hold a child of my own… I wanted to nurture, love… but I am bound by my duty…
(Her voice cracks with emotion, her hands instinctively moving over her abdomen as if mourning something lost.)
[There was a long silence…]

T: now, with a count from 5 to 1 you will be in a significant moment of this life…
5…4…3…2… and 1…
What do you see?
C: (her breath deepens…) … it’s a festival night… the temple is lit with a thousand diyas, the air filled with शंख नाद and मंत्र… I am standing before Deviji , I have lots of mallipoo in my hair…I feel something is stirring inside me…it’s a strange feeling…

T: What happened?
C: I am praying… not for devotion, strength, but for love… love for a child. I am begging her to let me experience what it means to be a mother, even if it is for a moment… I am weeping badly at her feet.

T: Did you receive an answer?
C: (her eyes widen slightly, as if seeing something)
I feel her presence… warm n strong. I hear a whisper inside me…
** “Your path is chosen, my child. But love is never lost.” **
I didn’t understand then… but now… (she exhales deeply) she is telling me that my soul’s longing will continue.

T: Was there ever a time when you thought about leaving the temple?
C: (pauses…)
Once… when I was young, a traveler had come. He spoke of life beyond the temple… of love, of families, of the world outside. For the first time, I wanted to run… to leave behind the walls of Kamakshi Amman temple…

T: Did you?
C: (shaking her head) No… fear held me back. My whole life was inside those walls. If I left, who would I be?..
I convinced myself that devotion was enough… But now I see… (a single tear escapes) I am afraid of choosing my own path.

T: … with a count from 5 to 1, let’s move forward… to another significant moment of your life when Chandra leaves her body…
5…4…3…2…and 1
What is happening around?..
where are you?..
C: (her breath slows and she takes deep breaths …)
I am old… my body is very weak. मंदिर के अलावा कुछ नही पता… I am sitting before Devi ji one last time… my hands folded…my heart feels heavy with longing. As my breath fades… I whisper… ‘Will I ever know love?’

T: What happens after…?
C: (a deep exhale)
I am rising above… but I am not in my body anymore… I see myself, old and frail, but my soul feels free. I turn, and I see Chandra. She is smiling at me.

T: What does she want to tell you?
C: (her face softens, as if hearing words beyond time)
She is saying that I am not bound anymore. In this life, I can choose both love and devotion and I can be free.

T: What do you feel now?
**C: (takes a deep breath…) **
Peace… I feel peace after lifetimes of sorrow, I understand now that I am not cursed… I am not broken… Love is never lost… It is always waiting for me.
(A long pause…)

T: You have released lifetimes of sorrow. You have embraced your soul’s wisdom. And now… you have opened yourself to love.
C: (whispering, with deep gratitude)
Thank you… thank you very much…I am ready now…ready to receive… ready to live…ready to be loved.

( Silence…)

T: Now, with a count from 5 to 1,
allow yourself to move even further… beyond the past life…into the space between the place where the soul rests and learns.
What do you see?
C: silent…Golden light… everywhere. It surrounds me, fills me… feels like home.

T: Who is there?
(her breath deepens…)
C: Beings of Light… they are watching me with so much love… I can feel their presence before I see them.

T: Do they have a message for you?
(she listens, her eyes closed, as if absorbing words not spoken )
C: that…I have carried the sorrow of unfulfilled motherhood across lifetimes…But I am not cursed. I am not broken…I am here to learn trust and surrender. I must let go of my fear. Love is waiting for me…
(A deep silence follows, sacred and profound.)
(I allowed Seema to absorb the experience before gently guiding her back.)

T: Now, let’s connect what you have seen with your present life. What do you feel?
(her voice is soft, but sure.)
C: I understand now…why I have had multiple miscarriages in this life too, I always felt it was my fault…like I am not meant to be a mother… like I am being punished.
(Her voice shakes slightly, as years of self-blame begin to dissolve.)
But now I see… it is not a punishment. My soul has been afraid of losing again. It carried Chandra’s longing and Malini’s grief… but I am not them. I can be free from that now.

T: Yes. And what does this new understanding change for you?
(she gently places a hand on her stomach, may be with a new hope.)
C: I am not broken. I am not bound. I am ready… ready to receive love, ready to embrace the possibility of motherhood when the time is right.
(A deep, steadying breath. A new sense of peace settles over her.)

T: That is a beautiful shift. You have released lifetimes of sorrow. You have embraced your soul’s wisdom. And you have opened yourself to love.
C: (Softly n gratefully) Thank you… I feel lighter, freer. Like I have stepped out of the chains of the past and into a future that is finally mine.

T: This healing will continue to unfold. Trust that you are on the right path.
With a count from 1 to 5 slowly…very slowly you may open your eyes…
1…2…3…4…and 5…
C: Seema opens her eyes, carrying within her a newfound radiance…
the quiet knowing that she is exactly where she is meant to be…

As she came back to the present, something inside her shifted. The pain was still there, but it no longer consumed her. The grief no longer defined her. For the first time in a long time, she could see a future beyond the sorrow…

And maybe, just maybe… she could believe in hope again.

Session 4
Reflections & Integration
As Seema slowly opened her eyes, there was something different about her. The weight she had carried for so long…the grief…the self-blame…the silent ache…seemed to have loosened its grip. There is still tenderness in her heart, but it is no longer wrapped in sorrow; it is softer and lighter.
This journey was not an easy one. She had walked through the echoes of her soul’s past, faced the rawness of loss, the unbearable longing, and the belief that she was somehow undeserving of love and motherhood. But in the end, she did not just uncover wounds, she released them too…
As I sat with her, (sipping warm lime water) allowing her to absorb the experience, I saw something beautiful unfold…Acceptance. She no longer saw herself as broken… no longer carried the burden of being ‘cursed’ or ‘punished.’ Instead, she embraced a new understanding that her soul had chosen these experiences, not as suffering, but as lessons in trust, surrender, and self-love.

For lifetimes, she had held on to the pain of unfulfilled motherhood, of love that felt just out of reach.
But today, something changed. Today, she saw the truth that
love had never left her. It was always waiting for her to receive it.
And maybe, for the first time in a long time, she allowed herself to believe in hope again.

I made her understand that healing is a process that will continue to unfold in its own time.
She is given some affirmations to reprogram her SCM
• I am whole. I am not broken.
• I am worthy of love and motherhood.
• I trust the divine timing of my journey.

She is asked to trust Her Body Again…since miscarriages had created a sense of betrayal between her and her body, she should focus on nurturing herself seeing her body as her ally rather than an enemy… Practices like yoga, deep breathing, and gentle self-care will help rebuild this trust.

She is encouraged for the follow up session if emotions resurface.emphasised text
