As PLR therapists we have a need to be creative and agile about our sessions. [on the feet at all time! for our Beloved clients]
When the client is claustrophobic but not hydro phobic then we could devise an induction in the lines of. Imagine yourself going down a beautiful stream a very shallow one, in comfortable boat, following the beautiful garden…. just flowing down gently without having to row.
As you slide down … relaxing feeling the beautiful water taking you down the stream. And maybe just a little far away you notice the outline of someone.
A person You haven’t met in quite sometime or a long long time. Let the form get clearer as the boat is taking you down to meet this person. getting clearer as you go down the stream…
10 …. 9 …. 8 … 7 maybe you are able to see him more and more clearly….
Going down the stream
Let me know how else you’d like to improvise upon this and would love to know if someone gave this a try …
@venu We can make this induction more relaxing by adding open and soothing images, like sunlight, flowers, and a gentle breeze. Give the client a sense of choice whether to let the boat drift or guide it slowly so they feel in control. The flowing water can also be imagined as washing away stress. Instead of always reaching a person, the stream could lead to a safe, open place like a meadow.
@venu have added a few lines as follows:
As the boat drifts down the stream…Maybe you will feel the gentle splash of water against your skin that reminds of dewdrops on a flower/chirping of birds/fluttering of butterflies/fragrance of the wild flowers/gentle soothing sound of the flowing water
@gunjangaur0905 yes that would be great if boat gently take you to a desired destination/person who holds answers to your questions boat can be landed at a beach if client prefers or to a serene meadow as you suggested, improvise as per clients need, and you can take clues from em during history taking.
