One of my childhood favourites

A movie not particularly relevant to PLRT but the lessons in it are priceless!
had the rare fortune of watching it again with my 6-year old

The movie is “Karate Kid” (1984)

My favourite movie too, pa! Perseverance and determination are key takeaways from this movie, and they align perfectly with the balance and self-discipline you’ve been teaching us.:pray::blush:

Karate Kid is my childhood favourite too. It teaches us patience, perseverance, balance and timing amongst other good values.

Absolutely one of my favourites too! @venu Venu Sir.
Seen it so many times that I would say ‘Wax On! Wax Off!’ in my sleep. :star_struck:

Even after decades, The Karate Kid still works because its core message is timeless…respect over aggression…
inner strength over external validation

What I loved most is how gentle the movie is with emotions.
Daniel’s loneliness after moving, his frustration, his desire to belong, it all feels very human.
And Miyagi’s quiet grief and wisdom? So subtle, yet so powerful.
He teaches without preaching, guides without controlling…something we rarely see today.
