Regarding conducting a session

  1. While conducting a session suppose the client is not disclosing what they see or undergoing in their past how do we proceed further?
  2. If the client request not to disclose his/her case is it ok not to post it in forum?
  3. If a client comes for follow up sessions do we need to start from scratch by conducting all stages or we can start with induction after discussion? How to present their case study in the forum - just by attaching the first case study link?

Dear @ushapssk,

Here are my thoughts on your questions, based on my understanding:

-One possibility is that the client doesn’t realise they can speak during the session. In the pre-talk, it’s crucial to explain clearly that they need to describe the events. If they want to keep certain details private, that’s fine—but then you may not be able to guide them to the key moments without knowing what they are experiencing. If you have already covered this, gently remind them as needed.

-Another factor could be that the client is introverted, so take extra steps to build comfort and encourage openness. Reassure them that there is no judgment or criticism here, and your focus is solely on supporting their healing based on what they share.

-Sometimes clients need time to process information in trance, so allow pauses with supportive silence.

We are bound by our confidentiality oath, and session reports shared in the forum never include personal details. It’s generally fine to post, but trust your instincts—if it doesn’t feel right, simply choose not to.

For follow-up sessions, we do not need to restart from the beginning. We can start with a brief history update, then proceed to induction (starting from the 4th stage process).

That’s right, you can post the updated report along with the previous case study link attached

I hope this helps, wishing you all the very best! :folded_hands::sparkles::blush:

In the preinduction talk,i tell my clients that,“they are in control and have a choice to hold back. However, its only if they reveal what they have access to,that we can integrate which eventually leads to healing”.I think rapport and client education regarding the session prior to the session, plays a significant role.It also puts the onus on client.

In my understanding,if the case is to be considered for certification it has to be on the forum. If not for certification,it doesnt matter.

@ushapssk
Clarity in regard to the question would be helpful,to consider answering.
Do you mean…followup after 4 sessions are completed?

Thanks Sandhya ji for answering my queries
Regarding the first question the client is aware of everything and post session the client told me though I saw and felt but I disclosed only few purposely. The client didn’t want to openly disclose.
Though I assure/give enough pause it happens. So I wanted to know how to go further in such cases

@ushapssk Very important questions. In my HO-

1- So yes if a client doesn’t want to disclose anything that’s perfectly fine, it’s their journey and some of the events they might want to safeguard, but this should not disturb the flow of the session. They can reveal the key element and points (while in trance) and details can be kept hidden/not disclosed if that’s what they want. (should be discussed in detail with client in pre-talk)

3- If they don’t give their consent then you should not post their case study on the forum, this should also be discussed beforehand to avoid any confusion, and even if they feel hesitant after the sessions that can be discussed too. There has to be transparency and trust building even before going into the sessions and this all can be discussed in pre-talk itself, before you as a therapist invest your time into it.

3- I think if you do a follow up session then you can add a link for the previous case study and provide a summary of the client history and previous sessions (like a re-cap).

Then stage 1 can be skipped. Follow stages 2/3/4

Stages 5 can be re-assessed ( if you and client feel like)

Stage 6 ( if new patterns emerged after the previous session/things or issues which were not addressed in previous sessions and other issues)

Stages 7-15 in detail as we normally do. You can skip happy memories and cliff reframing ( only do reframing if something is bothering them about past/future which was not discussed previously or any recent event)

Hope this helps. This is how I would approach.
