Sharing thoughts on adapting Climate

Hello All :folded_hands:t2:

Hope everyone are safe in this extreme summer / Cold :sun_with_face:/:cold_face:

We could share any drinks, activities for adapting and living through this extreme climate.
When I see street dogs helplessness also, I buy cold water and biscuits to feed them.

Anyone can share their experiences with climate and difficult ambiences. Keeping therapist hat aside, as a normal human being can share thoughts :thought_balloon: on coping the heat , thirsty, body heat. Etc and being non judgemental too :folded_hands:t2:.

I hope our master @venu ji and @Neha didi are safe during this climatic conditions.

This is my condition, I am exhausted, tired and restless , cannot do anything even if I am in ac room, there was time when I lost my consciousness while resting too. Very recently, only I started to comeback after my ayurveda back pain treatment (acute disc bulge) and after that when I started to work on my daily chores , this exhaustion and tiredness is giving me big time challenge and sometimes I am sad also thinking  I did not do anything.
As @kobrakulsh Didi, told I started giving little heart to my heart and body, by stop thinking about doing every day chores and by giving ample rest I want for the day.

:folded_hands:t2::folded_hands:t2::folded_hands:t2:
Hope everyone are safe at their home.

Sometimes the body doesn’t ask, it demands to be heard….. and this exhaustion you are feeling is not weakness, it is recovery still happening inside you. After something like a disc issue, even when we “look fine”, the body is still rebuilding its trust with us.

I have seen this in my own phases too… when even sitting in AC didn’t help and there was this strange guilt of “not doing enough”..… but this is exactly where the shift came when I stopped fighting my body and started listening to it.

About “giving little heart to my heart and body" is itself a healing in action,

for now maybe keep it very gentle….. nariyal paani, light homemade drinks like bel/shikanji, थोड़ा सा cooling food….. and most importantly, rest without guilt.

and what you’re doing for those street dogs.… this compassion always comes back as grace

you’re not falling behind Santosh…. you are just being realigned :folded_hands:

Very truly said didi :sob:
Just laying down in ac also not able get full rest.

Yes, didi still thirsty and tired after having 700ml x 5 bottles of water, having 2 599 ml of tender coconut water. Now trying barley water, even butter milk and nimbu pani with salt also not giving energy.

 Looks like lot of time is needed.

How are you @kobrakulsh Didi , Climate situation over there , hope during this summer time , a little lemonade or cool drink can be also given to you ishta devata :folded_hands:t2:, she also will be experiencing. ( You know why I told this ).
Hope you are also doing well hydration of self.
In this extreme climate situation, i believe that doing high energy practices also should be paused as our body is not in the full power to assimilate it.

Pretty interesting topic Santosh. We all deal with it and AC is not a luxury anymore it’s a necessity now. I feel grateful to live on the west coast in Canada, it doesn’t get that hot in summer and winters are also fine as compared to the other parts of Canada. We get 1-2 weeks of snow and temperatures don’t get that low. Basically we have the nicest weather in Canada :folded_hands:t2: most of the houses didn’t have fans as we never needed it, but lately summer is longer (I personally love it) with more dry days and hot sunny weather. We got a massive heatwave in 2021, the first time I guess. After that it started to get hot ( not like India hot) and now almost all the houses have AC and fans. It’s not humid and sun is so clear and harsh it can burn your skin within a coupe of hours, if you don’t use sunscreen and hat etc, staying safe is important. Some days are definitely hot and you can’t work around without AC. So climate change is happening for sure. I put out food and water for birds. We don’t have street dogs.

Some days are restricted with weather like snow, when everything slows down and sometimes school are also closed for a day or two given the icy road conditions, life takes a small pause and it’s fine. And on hot summer days when nothing seems working. There’s no guilt is taking a break and beating yourself mentally for not being productive. I call it re-charging! Life is dutiful and we do so many things for everyone and for ourselves and it’s perfectly fine to rest, recharge, gear-up again and repeat! It’s the most human thing!!!
