Client Name: N
Eyeroll Test: 1; VAK: 2/9/4; Hypnosis Score: 6.
Age: 30yrs
Theme: Fear & Overthinking
Pain Level Before: 10
Pain Level After: 0
Client’s own words: I was insecure as a kid, scared of friends not talking to me, and did not have a good relationship with my dad back then. I was very distracted and didn’t study up to the mark.
Therapist History Taking: The client was raised in a difficult family environment marked by emotional neglect and instability. Her father struggled with alcoholism and was largely irresponsible, leading to her being raised primarily by her paternal uncle, who continues to support her even today. There was child abuse too from her relative.
The father’s financial mismanagement and gambling habits eventually caused the family to relocate to Mysore following the death of the maternal grandmother.
Her mother, overwhelmed by the circumstances, raised her in a fear-based environment—strict, subdued, and emotionally distant. Academically, the client was pushed into the science stream against her will and performed poorly, facing public embarrassment after failing. However, she displayed resilience by clearing her exams in just one month and shifting her academic focus to B.Sc. and later M.Sc., where she found more alignment.
In her personal life, her first relationship was with a partner who was emotionally immature and irresponsible, eventually becoming toxic, which led her to end it. A subsequent arranged engagement lasted six months before she chose to walk away. She later married her current husband. Post-marriage, she encountered challenges with her in-laws, including emotional control, denial of kitchen access, forced separation from her husband, and expectations to manage all domestic responsibilities without support. Eventually, the couple moved into a separate household.
Professionally, the client works as a teacher but feels underpaid and dependent on her husband, which contributes to feelings of low self-worth. She also faces fertility challenges, having undergone initial consultations that recommended laparoscopy followed by IVF, a path that brings emotional distress and fear.
