Dr Brian weiss mentions in his book, Through time into healing “The entire spirit is not encapsulated in the body and conscious mind. The part of the self that exists here is, in all probability, just a fragment of the entire spirit”-My question is
1.Does that mean the fragment left behind in the spirit world is the " Higherself"?
2.Have read somewhere that, some souls fail to carry the soul fragment that compliments the chosen challenge in a particular life time and that is when the soul gives up on that lifetime. Could this be a possibility ?

@sarandha Hi, Dr. Sarandha, your interpretation aligns well. When we incarnate only a portion of the whole consciousness enter the body and the larger part (higher self) continues in the spiritual realm guiding, giving insights and directing our growth.

The physical brain see everything in duality and the forgetfulness might be the limitations for only the fragmented soul to incarnate.

The embodied self is like the ray of light that comes from the source which is the super consciousness, which connect during our regressions.

The soul giving up a lifetime can be seen as adjusting their life plan. The early exit may be pre planned as the required lessons have been learned.

I am unsure about if the soul can incarnate at the same time in multiple bodies.

Yes…the fragment that stays in the spirit realm is often described as the Higher Self or the fuller consciousness that guides the incarnated part.

Interesting question. I can’t answer this from any quotes or sources. But what I have experienced, I would like to answer. It could be right or wrong, I just don’t know.
- Fragment left behind is the higher self…
If we are all a small part of the one consciousness, then obviously, all the remaining left will be higher self. You can think in that way. Or if our spirit guides, are also a small part of the same source from where we were derived, are they the higher self or our ‘higher self’. So basically, it’s all one and the same, right. Every drop in the ocean belongs to the ocean. From which part of the ocean was it lifted, does that matter? - Soul fragments and carry out different function.
I used to get lot of dreams. Actually, I have seen more of my past lives via dream rather through regression or through some other techniques. I dreamt some of my parallel lives too. If I haven’t married, if I haven’t chose this particular education, how my life would have turned up to- I dreamt some of these possibilities. In one of my dream, I dreamt that I was another female with a different family, fighting for female voices in a particular village. The girl in that life who is me again, is fighting and she needs strength. She needs support in her knees as she have to climb mountains in that life. I used to have knee pain without any specific reason when I woke up for quite some time. I dreamt about the other fighting girl (me only) and when I woke up I had the insight that, in this life I didn’t get a chance to fight for any women, so all I can give is my energy and strength to the other fighting girl and my pain is because of that girl using up my energy. When she is done with her work, my pain will go away. Actually, that happened after a week. This is crazy to believe. After this dream, I was trying to understand and I came across this concept of ’ Quantum entanglement’ that two different energy sources can interact and exchange energies even if they are far apart. What happened in my dream was like that. Again, it is unbelievable. But for your question, I know it happens. I don’t have the means to prove it.
