Session 4

Dave Elman - Progressive Relaxation – Garden - Tunnel of Light - Affect Bridge

Past Life

C: I’m moving very fast into a dark tunnel, I can also see light on the other side of the tunnel that I’m traveling fast.

T: Let me know once you reach the other side of the tunnel

[Pause]

T: What do you see on the other side of the light?

C: I’m in a classroom, teaching my students. The class is full of many scholars, they are all my students.

T: Where are you?

C: China, but very primitive, it seems.

T: How do you know? What are you wearing?

C: I’m wearing a brown robe, it has a waistband, a hat, and I have thin mustache and beard on my chin. All the students have tied up their hair in the top of their head.

T: What is your name? What are you teaching?

C: My name is Fang Zioru, I’m a brilliant scholar. I’m very clever and knowledgeable, from my childhood I’ve been reading thick books.

T: Which year is this?

[Pause]

T: Do you see the year written anywhere in the classroom?

C: I can a lot of things written all around but I don’t understand it. I don’t know the year, but its very old.

T: It’s okay, move ahead in time

[Pause]

T: What do you see now?

C: A man sitting on a throne, we all are sitting around him, I guess, I’m the king’s adviser too. He trusts me and respects me for my vast knowledge. We are from the Ming Dynasty.

(When he said that, I felt a deep pride in his voice when he mentioned Ming Dynasty. That’s when I released, it might be really really old)

C: There are many other scholars too, sitting with me. We all are discussing something important and secret.

T: What is the significance of this secret meeting?

C: There are many enemies who want to dethrone our king, we are discussing how to identify them and punish them.

[Pause]

T: Were you all able to identify your enemies?

C: I’m teaching the king’s son about the kindly ways and about world philosophy. The king was very impressed by my work and wanted to honor he with special gifts and a school of my own but I refused it all as it is my duty to prepare the future king. But, I’m politically very strong being a close ally of the king. I’ve received many awards for my knowledge, my honestly and for being a very humane person.

T: (I repeat my question again) Did you all identify your enemies and punish them?

[Long Pause]

C: No, but now I see the king’s son as the new king.

T: Okay, does the new king like you?

C: Yes, very much. I’m his most trusted minister.

T: Please move ahead in time and see what happened

[Pause]

C: Its very hazy. I think the king is dethroned

T: What about you? Where are you?

C: Someone is forcing me to write something on a paper. I think, they want me to write that dethroning the king is justifiable.

T: Did you write it?

C: No

T: Then?

C: I threw the pen on the ground and said something boldly which has angered him

T: What happens then?

(Very sad face)

C: They are killing a lot of my pupils and family members in front of me

T: Why?

C: Because of my loyalty

T: Please go to the last days of your life. What do you see?

C: I’ll have to die like my family. They will kill me too.

T: How old are you now?

C: Maybe in my late 40s or early 50s

T: How do you die? If you find it disturbing, you can float above your body and see.

C: They have made me lie down on a wooden board and are chopping my body parts

(Suddenly I feel a deep pain in my heart and I want to stop here and feel I’ll not be able to listen any further now. A kind of lump in my throat)

C: They are sawing my waist slowly and painfully

(I begin to weep, unable to understand what to do now, how to end this painful session. I pray to Master to give me strength to carry on)

[There’s pin drop silence for sometime, as I try to bring myself back and not to get carried away]

T: I can understand this must be painful. Can you see what happens now?

C: Although they have cut my body into two parts, I haven’t died yet. I’m going on writing something on the ground with my blood.

(I could not help admiring this courageous man. No wonder he’s a fighter in this life too)

C: I die after a long time

T: Take a few deep breadths and relax yourself.

[Pause]

T: As you float above your body, what do you see?

C: My body lying on the ground, it is in two parts

T: Look above, what do you see?

C: I can see all my well wishers and family members who were killed. I don’t feel any pain now. I feel at peace.

T: That’s nice. Do you see anything else as you look up

C: No. But, I feel a lot of love flowing towards me.

C: Had I been more diplomatic in handling the situation, I could have saved not just my life but the life of many others too.

T: That’s a very important message to understand and take away. You may thank the Masters and the Universe for helping you in your journey to the past.

T: Is there anything else you’d like to understand from the life of Fang Zioru?

C: No, I’d like to end it here.

(I used affect bridge and garden to bring him back to his consciousness and brought him back to an awakened state)

[It took some time for him to gather himself. Took a glass of water and closed his eyes for sometime.]

Client’s reaction after the session

Wow! That was some revelation. I was not expecting anything of this sort when we started this session. How things are carried from one life to another, is something that we all should be conscious about and live more mindfully, to which I agreed and then we both had a cup of hot coffee.

@Divya , i have already done reading first part and now this second part is just awesome…

Fang xioru is really a historical figure in Chinese history. He wrote the something while dying the english translation is usurp(er) which means one who takes power or position by force or without legal right

Short description about first part would have been helpful to made the connection with client.

@HarieMore I myself was amazed to know he actually was a historical figure!
Yes, I should have given some description of the first part… it did not strike me. Thanks, I’ll do that.

Thanks a lot @Smitha_Nair had it not been you, we’d have never known his true story! Thanks again my dear for taking all the effort you did (which actually I should have done and put his correct name which I have misspelled :disappointed:). :heart_hands::heart_hands:

Thanks a lot dear @archana.singh.gupta

Thank you dear @Jackie
