Adhbuta, M, 48+, VAK - 4//6/4, 8/10
Theme: self-Love
Client History.
Family Background:
- Father: He passed away in 2006, making Adhbuta the sole responsible person for the family. Adhbuta experienced a love-hate relationship with his father, finding him strict and hypocritical. His father doted on the daughters, pampering them, but he was critical of Adhbuta’s interests, particularly his love for cricket. Despite his father’s insistence, Adhbuta pursued engineering, although his passion was agriculture.
- Mother: A homemaker and well-educated, but not emotionally expressive regarding love and care. Adhbuta describes her as very judgmental.
Childhood and Personal Interests:
- Childhood: Materially well-provided for but lacked emotional connection within the family.
- Interests: Adhbuta enjoyed cricket during his younger days, but his father detested the sport and forced him to focus on his studies. He later developed an interest in agriculture but was compelled to study engineering. Despite lack of initial interest, Adhbuta surprised himself by performing well in his third-year exams.
- Sacrifices: Adhbuta prioritized his family’s needs over his own, sacrificing personal interests like cricket, travel, and the pursuit of astrology, in which he is very talented.
- Family Attachments: He is very attached to his sisters’ children and has a strong bond with them.
Career History:
- IT Sector: Adhbuta did well in the IT sector but faced a lack of recognition, promotions, and growth due to office politics, which led him to quit.
- Business Venture: He joined a friend’s business and helped the company recover from losses to gains. However, due to unethical practices by his friend, which Adhbuta could not tolerate, he decided to quit.
- Recent Struggles: Post quitting, he dealt with his mother’s knee surgery, selling land, and using his savings to cover expenses. He now faces a shortage of funds needed to build a house in his village.
Current Situation: Sleep Issues: Before coming for therapy, Adhbuta hadn’t slept in a few days, particularly struggling the previous night with heavy cough and cold symptoms.

Therapist (T): Shall we revisit your childhood and pick a memory? Adhbuta (C): (Raises right hand as an ideomotor response, indicating readiness)
T: You will be able to talk and remain in a deep state. What comes to your awareness? C: (No response)
T: Are you able to see or feel anything? C: (No response)
T: What comes to your awareness? C: It’s blank.
T: Perhaps you can float around and see what comes to your awareness. C: Nothing.
T: Let’s go to your recent dream with Madhu. What do you see? C: Madhu is there.
T: Who else is there? C: His sister.
T: How do you feel about seeing Madhu? C: I see a wall. Madhu is sitting below the wall on the other side.
T: Who else is there? C: (Abreaction—shows visible distress) Someone else is there.
T: Can you talk to him? C: He’s smiling.
T: Can you go to the memory where this feeling originated? C: He came to my house, and we had lunch. He told me to join him.
T: How do you feel about this lunch? C: I don’t know. I only remember that we had lunch in Koramangala Grameen. He asked me to join him, but I wasn’t sure.
T: Why were you unsure? C: I don’t believe him.
T: Why did you still go to the lunch?
C: He is a friend, and he came to talk to me. He wanted to know about astrology. I had predicted something for Pavan, and Pavan informed Madhu. Madhu wanted to be in politics, to be an MLA. But he didn’t seem focused on actually becoming an MLA, more about politics. If I had known he wanted to be an MLA, I would not have joined his company.
T: How does it make you feel that he wants to be an MLA?
C: I wanted to be in agriculture.
(Key Moment Flow - 1) T: What comes to your awareness? Which year is this?
C: 2017. He has changed. August, July, April… the company is making a profit, but people are jealous. They don’t want me there.
T: How does that make you feel?
C: I’m least bothered; I knew this would happen. They want me out, that’s all. His friend Prasanna wants me out, simply. He’s a rogue, finding it difficult to make money. People working under me are difficult to work with. Everyone is cheating at this company.
T: Relax your forehead.
C: I told Madhu I can’t work like this. Either he mends his ways or stops Prasanna. He’s telling me just to look after finance and not meddle in other things, and that’s what I’m doing.
T: How does that make you feel?
C: Frustrated, totally. My mother was hospitalized for knee surgery, yet they were pressuring me. I put in my papers. Madhu and Prasanna came to the hospital; Madhu thought I was lying. Madhu asked me via email what my final decision was. I told him I am quitting. August 31st was my last day. I called him, and he did not respond. I called all seven directors; they also did not respond. They are all looting him, and he doesn’t understand.
(Key Moment Flow - 2)
C: I am feeling a lot of pain near my eyes.
T: BRV and continued , What comes to your awareness now?
C: In 3rd standard, we were fighting, and he put me in a dustbin. The teacher scolded me. He is always jealous of me.
T: Why is he jealous of you?
C: I am better than him at cricket.
T: What comes to your awareness?
C: Nothing.
T: Breathe.
C: In cricket, he couldn’t beat me. He created a hockey team—9th or 10th standard. I joined the team; we lost the first match—an interschool match. He wants to dominate, that’s all.
T: How do you feel about that?
C: Nothing. I didn’t understand it at that time.
(Key Moment Flow - 3)
T: What comes to your awareness? C: A lot of pain in my feet and legs, and I can’t go. I can feel the pain. It’s like when in meditation, and the legs become heavy. I am not afraid, but I can’t go.
T: What comes to your awareness now? C: A wall, a blank sky, or something.
T: Can you float above? C: No.
T: Relax your forehead, breathe. I’m bringing you back to the garden, to the light.
C: I feel Raghavendra Swamy and Gangadhara. I feel they are here. I don’t see them, but I feel them. My home deity is Gangadhara. I don’t know why they are telling me, “Why do you need all these things?” I have a feeling that it will take time. It’s itching.
T: I am almost free, but I can’t see or feel anything.
C: How can you not feel when you are free?
C: I want to explore more.
T: Let’s relax and breathe. Experience their presence and be in their presence.
(Abreaction - BRV) C: The moment I try to see, itching starts everywhere. Very stressful.
T: Back to the garden, (pacing) bringing you to a happy memory from childhood.
C: I am happy playing cricket. I am mixing around. T: Are you on the ground?
C: Yes.
T: How old are you? C: 13.
T: What are you doing? Batting?
C: I am fielding, but I am happy. Everyone is running around. We are playing our own game, and they are playing theirs. Everybody is happy.
T: Stay there and enjoy this experience.
C: Playing among trees.
T: How old are you?
C: 11 or something.
T: Which tree?
C: Eucalyptus.
T: Can you hug the tree or touch it?
C: I am. I am smelling it.
T: What comes to your awareness?
C: I just enjoy it. But then it all stops continuing.
T: Can we go to a memory where it stopped continuing?
C: I am unable to see anything.
T: You seem tense please relax your forehead and eyes. Relax and inhale and exhale.
C: I am unable to recall anything.
T: It’s alright. Let me know if you see anything or feel free to share.
C: I see a plain wood covered on the wall, a wooden plank. I am unable to get past it.
T: You don’t have to get past it. You can fly or float back to the garden where you are safe.
C: I am in the garden, but I can’t see anything but fog.
T: What does the fog mean to you? C: I don’t know.
T: Can you feel any presence? C: I see they are all standing and peeping.
T: I am seeing them from above. (Abreaction – BRV)
C: I can’t feel the fog, but I see it.
T: They are all standing and staring.
T: Can you ask them for guidance? C: No.
T: Why not? C: The time has not come.
T: Maybe you can ask them when the right time is? C: I can’t turn around and see them.
T: Maybe bow down and ask them for guidance. C: I am bowing down and asking on my knees.
T: Can you ask them for guidance? C: I feel like crying but am trying not to.
T: What’s coming to your awareness now?
C: Total confusion.
T: Can you ask the master’s for clarity?
C: I don’t know what to ask them. I’m just bowing down, folding my hands. They’re just looking at me.
T: Perhaps you can ask them to guide you, to help you feel peace, and to realize the purpose of your life.
C: The time will come.
T: Maybe you can ask them for patience, to help you stay on course.
C: It will take time for my answers.
T: What answers are you looking for?
C: That’s how I feel—it will come in time.
T: Is there anything else you can ask the masters?
C: I’m not asking for anything. They’re blessing me.
C: Continue!
T: What a beautiful blessing.
C: I’m seeing a glowing white light. I feel like crying, but I don’t want to cry.
T: It’s okay to cry. We are human, and tears help release pain. It’s a natural part of healing.
T: Breathe in, and in the presence of the masters, ask them to guide you and allow you to sink into that feeling.
T: Now, slowly say thank you to your master’s and ask for any final advice.
C: Patience. Everything is there, but I can’t see it. I need to have patience.
T: How beautiful.
C: They’re getting up now. There’s nothing more. They asked me to go get a massage done!
T: That’s wonderful. Let’s thank them and our masters. Now, I’m going to awaken you from this beautiful garden slowly. Once you wake up, you’ll feel rejuvenated and filled with beautiful energy.
