I was doing a client’s session …she was in her past life and i asked her to tell the date looking at the calendar …I had a strong knowing that she would say 22 February 1967. When she actually gave that exact date I got goosebumps. How could I have known that in advance?..Could anyone answer that?
@gunjangaur0905 because you are also in trance in the session
This is the beauty of PLRT
Thanks
Vikrant
@gunjangaur0905 may be you are also in trance with your client. You are gifted! I’m coming over
@hc2101 thanks my friend
@vikrantsharma.sap Thanks Vikrant
Dear Dr Gunjan
That’s so amazing to hear. It doesn’t come easy and is indicative of your strong connect with the client’s psyche. And it works both ways.
Keep it up !
Regards
Monesh
@Monesh_Bathre Thank you Monesh
which is why we say "PLRT seems like a miracle but is a science my blessed Gunjan,
am glad that you’ve attained this power which could be referred to as Vibhutis or ESP in such a short duration of time my blessed Dr @gunjangaur0905 this is the intuition that I was trying to help you all understand. even Dr. Brian Weiss mentions of this overlap between the therapists and client’s “energy” in his book, Many Lives, Many Masters.
Two warnings before we proceed further:-
- impulses can be mistaken at times as intuition, hence “explicit over implicit” guideline applies, ask the client even if you know as if you do not know.
- They are not our goal, and for that matter not even a necessary. Can be leveraged upon as long as they are not an obstacle on our path to liberation.
While these powers are not necessary, they are good to have when applied for the clients well being
vibhutis in the Yoga Sutras do overlap significantly with what modern psychology or parapsychology calls ESP (Extrasensory Perception)
Vibhutis (Yoga) | ESP (Modern) |
---|---|
Clairvoyance (seeing distant places) | Remote viewing, clairvoyance |
Telepathy (mind-to-mind communication) | Telepathy |
Precognition (seeing the future) | Precognition |
Psychokinesis (moving objects) | Psychokinesis (PK) |
Reading others’ thoughts or pasts | Mind reading, retrocognition |
How do these powers come?
- These powers are latent in the human mind.
- They can be activated through certain practices
- Yoga – through dharana, dhyana, samadhi on specific objects.
- ESP research: --Sometimes through hypnosis, meditation, sensory deprivation, or trauma.
Vibhutis (Sanskrit: विभूतयः) literally means “manifestations,” “powers,” or “glories.” In the context of the Yoga Sutras, vibhutis refer to supernatural powers or siddhis — extraordinary abilities that arise as a result of deep yogic practice, concentration (dharana), meditation (dhyana), and samadhi (absorption).
Patanjali lists various supernatural powers that can arise, for example in Sutras 3.22 to 3.53. Some commonly mentioned vibhutis include:
- Anima --The ability to become infinitely small.
- Mahima – The ability to become infinitely large.
- Laghima – The ability to become very light, almost weightless.
- Garima – The ability to become very heavy.
- Prapti – The ability to reach anywhere.
- Prakamya – The ability to realize whatever one desires.
- Ishitva – The ability to control or govern natural forces.
- Vashitva – The ability to control other beings.
doesn’t it sound like the 8 Siddhi’s that Sri Sita Mata blessed Sri Hanumanji with?
The concept of Prati-prasava (reverse birth or withdrawal) and the arising of vibhutis (supernatural powers or siddhis) is mentioned in Sri Patanjali Maharishi’s Yoga Sutras
“Prati-prasavaḥ pūrvasya svarūpasya layaḥ” ||3.16||
Prati-prasava is the dissolution or reabsorption of the original form.
This refers to the process of withdrawing or reversing the normal process of manifestation back into its source or primal state.
Then, in Sutra 3.17, Patanjali connects this process to the arising of vibhutis:
“Tad ato ‘nyāni bhūtāni vibhūtayaś ca proktaḥ”
From that (prati-prasava), other beings and supernatural powers (vibhutis) are said to arise.
and while these are good to have, I should also mention
“Siddhayaḥ nārtha-lābha-moha-hetutvat” || 3.39||
Powers are not causes of liberation but [Could be] causes of attachment, profit, and delusion.
